Rotate PDF
Turn pages left or right — one at a time or the whole document — and save it that way.
Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.
Rotating a PDF without redrawing it
Every page in a PDF carries a rotation setting — 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise — that tells a viewer which way up to show it. This tool changes that setting and nothing else. The page’s text, images and drawings are not touched, so rotating is lossless and instant however large the file, text stays selectable and searchable, and turning a page back restores exactly what you started with.
That also makes the rotation permanent in the way that matters. The turn a viewer’s own rotate button applies usually lasts only until the file is closed; the setting written here is part of the document, so it opens the right way up for whoever you send it to, and prints that way.
The usual cases
A whole scan upside down — the stack went into the feeder the wrong way round — is two clicks of Rotate all. A landscape page among portrait ones, such as a wide table or a chart, is one click on that page. A phone scan saved sideways is a single turn of every page left or right. You can mix all three: each page keeps its own angle, shown under it, and the count above the pages says how many will change.
What else stays the same
No pages are copied or reordered, so bookmarks, internal links, fillable form fields, comments and the document’s title all survive unchanged. If the pages also need to be put in a different order, Reorder PDF Pages does both at once.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to rotate it?
No. The file is read into your browser tab, the page previews are drawn there, and the rotated copy is saved there too. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is fine for statements, contracts and scans of ID.
How do I rotate just one page?
Click the page to turn it 90° clockwise, or use the ⟲ and ⟳ buttons under it to turn it either way. Each page keeps its own angle, shown between the buttons, so a document with one sideways table among upright pages can be fixed in a single pass.
How do I rotate every page at once?
Use Rotate all left or Rotate all right above the pages. Press it twice for 180°, the usual fix for a stack fed into a scanner upside down. Pages you have already turned individually turn along with the rest.
Does rotating a PDF lower its quality?
No. Rotation is stored as a property of each page that viewers read when they display it; the text, images and drawings underneath are not redrawn or re-compressed. Text stays selectable and searchable, and the file size barely changes.
Will the rotation stay when I open the file elsewhere?
Yes. The turn is saved into the PDF itself, so it shows the same way in Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge and on phones, and prints that way. That is the difference from a viewer’s own rotate button, which usually only changes the view until you close the file.
Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept?
Yes. Rotating does not move or copy any pages, so the outline, links and fillable fields all stay exactly as they were. Annotations and comments turn with their page.
