How these games work

Every game here runs entirely in your browser. There is no server, no account and no download — the page loads some JavaScript, draws to a <canvas> element, and that is the whole stack. Once loaded they keep working with the network disconnected, which is a side effect of the same client-side approach the calculators on this site use.

They fall into two groups. 2048 and Block Stacker are turn-based puzzles: nothing happens until you move, so you can think as long as you like. Snakeand Cyber Dash are real-time, driven by an animation loop running at the display's refresh rate, where reaction speed is the constraint rather than planning.

High scores live in your browser's local storage rather than on a server. That means they survive closing the tab and persist between visits, but they are tied to that browser on that device — clearing site data or opening a private window starts you over, and there is no leaderboard shared between players. Nothing about your play is transmitted anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Do these games need downloading or installing?

No. Every game runs in the browser as plain JavaScript and Canvas, so there is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. They load once and then work offline.

Do they work on a phone?

Yes. Each game handles touch input as well as keyboard, so swipes drive 2048 and taps drive the arcade titles. A physical keyboard is more comfortable for the faster games, but nothing requires one.

Is my progress saved?

Scores are kept in your browser's local storage, which means they persist between visits on that device and that browser. Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching device starts you fresh — nothing is stored on a server.

Are these games free?

Entirely. There are no ads, no accounts, no in-app purchases and no tracking. They exist because the same browser APIs that power the calculators on this site happen to make decent games.
